Welcome to the Patterson Elementary School PTA website. The Patterson PTA is a strong and united group of parents, teachers and staff working together to give our children the best educational experience possible.

Our mission at Patterson Elementary School is to develop mutual respect, cooperation and responsibility in our learning environment. These pillars help to inspire and empower children to become life-long learners who embrace diversity, leadership and responsibility.

There are so many ways to get involved at Patterson. Parents and community members are an essential piece of the puzzle when it comes to providing quality educational opportunities for our children. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference by getting involved with our school and investing in your child’s education.

  • Become a member of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
  • Chair a committee
  • Sponsor an event
  • Volunteer your time or skills
  • Help with fundraising events/donations
  • Attend an event

 

If you have an area of interest that you don’t see available, let us know and we’ll help you get involved in something that interests and motivates you!

The PTA manages and or funds over 40 Committees. In one way or another all of these committees directly benefit our children. All of these activities are made possible by the generous support from our community through volunteerism, donations and PTA fundraisers.

The PTA holds monthly meetings that allows parents and teachers to have a voice within the school to address concerns, offer suggestions, volunteer for events, and become better aware of what is happening at Patterson Elementary, and Yes the meetings are open to ALL of the Patterson Community.

Reflections

    Reflections 2018- 2019  “Heroes Around Me”


    • The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts. Students are asked to create and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice— dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts — reflecting on a specific theme. There also is a special artist division option for students with disabilities, to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in the program.
    • Students are recognized each year for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful.
    • All entries must have a title and include an Artist’s Statement. See specific category rules and entry form for more details. Links are below.
    • Submissions deadline: Friday October 27th, 2018 to the main office.
